European Inspired Garden Styled Shoot | Camp Hosea 2.18.23

Spring is here!! I will forever be gushing over these photos and singing the praises of my dear friend Amanda. Every album I receive from her is timeless + exactly how I imagine my work being photographed. This day was also special because I got to work with the incredible Camp Hosea! The venue manager, Meag, is also a dear friend of mine, and it was so fun to see her work in action. This new venue is flawless and beautiful in every way. I could see so many different styles + color palettes working with this backdrop. For this shoot, we of course had to go with garden vibes + a touch of romantic European elegance.

The broken arch structure was rented from Premiere events which is how we were able to create such a dramatic height in the ceremony space. The inspiration for the ceremony was almost like a climbing rose garden, with the flowers tapering off towards the top. To bring more color into the space, we added small aisle arrangements that were repurposed to the head table!

For the bouquet, we chose all white against the rest of this colorful palette to give it a more timeless bridal element. I included lots of allium + orlaya + sweet peas to add texture and give it more dimension than a more “traditional” white bouquet.

For the reception, my favorite element was the baskets!! Filled to the brim in an organic fashion, these baskets can be placed literally anywhere to make a statement. You can find them in front of Botkin Creative’s beautiful seating chart, the cake + champagne tower moment, and in front of the head table! Tons of colorful candlesticks made this look even more romantic. Notice the patterned linen on the champagne tower table, which ties everything together!

I also have to shout out Sarah Katherine Creative for her custom invitation suite, which was the perfect detail element to add to this shoot. She took our vision + ran with it!

I left this weekend feeling refreshed and with a greater perspective on my role in this wedding world! Amen!
